A.) Cleaning Adlai

  1. Place the amount of Adlai to be cooked into a bowl and cover with lukewarm water. Wash it thoroughly, squeezing the grain in your (clean) hand in repetitive motions all throughout, and then drain. Repeat this process twice.
  • Then place the drained Adlai into a sieve, and wash it under running water.

Important note: When washing your grains under running water, make sure that you have proper filtration on your taps. 

B.) Cooking Adlai

For every cup of Adlai, add 2 cups of water.

  • For an al dente texture: Cook the rice directly into a regular rice cooker until it is ready.
